This country has no plans to change the laws of same-sex marriage, says Nana Addo
President Nana Addo said his government has no plans to change the laws of same-sex marriage in Ghana while addressing some individuals back in 2018.
In a video we came across, the President of Ghana, Nana Addo was assuring some individuals at a gathering that the country’s stands on LGBTQI is never going to change. They have no plans of legalizing them.
This video has surfaced due to the current tension being created in the country after a group of LGBTQI activists opened an office in Accra and the citizens of Ghana mounted pressure on the president to shut it down immediately.
Since the topic is already in scope, external forces have infiltrated to mount pressure on the government to declare his stands. Some Ghanaians have already confessed to the acts.
But we at Ghnewsbag have decided to remind the president of his words back in 2018 and we look forward that he keeps them.
In a speech delivered in 2018 during the GEC SYNOD Conference, president Nana Addo stated clearly:
“Let me assure that this country has no plans to change the law of same-sex marriage we have no authority and we will not seek any authority to do so.”
