Watch: ‘I am not a modern day artiste, I am a spiritual musician’ – Burna Boy tells

Nigerian Afro-fusion artiste Burna Boy has established that music lovers should stop comparing his albums.

During an interview with Elliot Wilson on Tidal, Burna Boy was asked to compare his albums African Giant and TwiceAsTall, which one is making more hits.

Answering the question, the ‘Ye’ hitmaker made it known that people are making mistakes by comparing his albums. For he’s not any ordinary artiste but rather a spiritual musician and as such his albums shouldn’t be compared like how other artiste compare their albums.

According to Burna Boy, he releases his albums depending on how he feels at a particular point in his life. He makes the album and pours in all his feelings.

This is the mistake people make man. I am not a modern day artiste, I am a spiritual musician… I do not put projects together and release them so that they can be compared to each other.

I release because that is how I am feeling in that part of time in my life and me making that project and pouring it all in there, makes that time of my life immortal…” he said
