A plane from Izmir which is supposed to land at Sabiha Gökçen airport in Istanbul from skidded off the runway crash landing on Wednesday,5th February, injuring 21 people in Turkey.
Transport minister, Cahit Turhan said the plane split into three pieces , adding that there were no fatalities.
Istanbul governor, Ali Yerlikaya, confirmed that the plane was carrying 171 passengers and 6 crew members from Turkey’s western province of Izmir.
Turkish Airlines also reported in a statement that all booked flights in and out of Sabiha Gökçen were canceled on Wednesday due to the incidence.
