(Video) CNN interviews Thomas Partey : “I was just 10 years old and moving to a very dangerous city in Ghana.”

Ghanaian National professional footballer, Thomas Teye Partey who is well recognized with the shortened name Thomas Partey has been granted an interview with CNN to share his story.

Thomas is currently the midfielder of one of Spain’s football giant team, Atletico Madrid.

Without a doubt, Thomas is currently one of the best midfielders on the continent and even the world at large, as his team is currently running on his shoulders.

Thomas was Born in Krobo Odumase, a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana , he is a product of local Odometah FC’s youth ranks.

He signed a contract with Atlético Madrid in 2011 after managing to arrive in Spain, and was subsequently moved to the reserves a year later.

On 10 March 2013, Thomas was called up to the main squad for the match against Real Sociedad. Unfortunately, he remained unused in the match which resulted 0–1 home defeat.

He was later loaned to Mallorca and Almería which he did great and later returned to Atletico to make his debut on 28 November 2015.

Well, due to his recent performance which has gained global attention, Thomas has been interviewed by CNN to tell his story of how he made it to this level.

In the 3 mins video, Thomas revealed that he has to work three times harder than his European counterpart to secure his spot in the first eleven.

According to the Ghanaian National, His manager Diego Simeone has really been a rock in his career and he is currently where he is because of his management skills.
