Popular Ghanaian gospel artiste, Philipa Baafi has finally disclosed why she left the music scene.
The singer who is well known for her hit song ‘go-high’; has indicated that she is about to graduate as a medical doctor.
A report sighted by Ghnewsbag on adomonline.com indicates that Philipa made the groundbreaking revelation in a radio interview.
It has been rumoured by many that her absence from the music scene was due to marriage and childbirth.
However, Philipa calls all the tittle-tattle complete fallacy and indicated that she has been enrolled in medical school; which is why her music career was halted.
In her own words, “It is not true that marriage and childbirth made me leave the music scene. I went back to school to continue my ambition to become a medical doctor”.
The Ghanaian musician also added that becoming a medical doctor; was actually her childhood dream that she chose never to give up on.
The ‘Go High’ hitmaker stressed that as part of her passion drive; she already set up a foundation that helps to supply free medicine to the sick, needy and poor in society.
Philipa did not disclose the school she is in or the year she is set to graduate.
