Ruth Ama Eshun, a Ghanaian nurse and a mother of three, is no more part of the living as she was allegedly gang-raped to death.
Ruth Eshun, was murdered at a town called Ayuom in the Bosomtwe District which is near Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
Before her demise, she was stationed at the Sewua Health Centre as a community health nurse.
According to Prince Adutwum, the assembly member of the area, Ruth was last seen by her colleagues leaving the health centre for her home around 3 pm on Monday, February 3, 2020 but she never made it home. Her family members then reported her missing.
She was, however, discovered lifeless the following morning at about 100 meters from her residence.
Though police in the Ashanti Region are yet to give full details on the matter, those who found her corpse believe that the young nurse may have been gang-raped and murdered.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association has condemned the gruesome murder of Eshun and are seeking Justice.
