Takoradi based engineer who invented water bicycle makes sweeping bicycle

The young Ghanaian engineer who invented water bicycle has once again advanced his innovative works.

Frank Darko, the Takoradi based engineer has manufactured a tricycle that sweeps along as you ride it and he calls it a ”sweeping bicycle.”

He explained that his invention aims at solving sanitation problems in the country.

Ghana was ranked the 7th dirtiest country in the World by the World Health Organization in 2015 and Frank believes that necessary measures must be put in place to curb sanitation problems in Ghana.

He stated that ”The littering is too rampant. Even today graduates have joined in littering the environment. As a patriotic citizen, it is my responsibility to help solve sanitation challenges in the country.

The engineer also expressed his disgust for the utter neglect for cleanliness in our environment.

He specifically spoke about the canal which leads the Odorna River to the sea in Accra and how it has been choked with sand and rubbish.

”It is sad when people lose their homes and lives during a heavy downpour in Accra ”, He expressed.

In a new video, Frank revealed what influenced his idea and how he made th ”sweeping bicycle” .

He added that, there are more innovative ideas in the pipeline to improve upon his first invention, a bicycle that could travel on water, brought him national recognition, and was featured in a BBC documentary.
