Schools will not resume in September – Education Ministry

Mr Benjamin K. Gyasi, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, has debunked rumours that students would be returning to school in September.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, schools have been closed in numerous countries including Ghana our motherland.

But speculations from social media and other platforms indicate that students will soon reunite with their teachers and lecturers in September which happens to be the commencement of new academic year.

Mr Gyasi in a press briefing has stated that individuals should disregard information about school reopening adding that it’s utterly false and not from the desk of the ministry.

According to Mr. Gyasi, the ministry is yet to decide on a date.

He said: “The ministry will like to state categorically that aside from final-year students who are in school, the public should disregard reports going round that all other students would go to school in September”
