Photos: Hundreds show up after 8-year-old Black boy organises Black Lives Matter protest for children

Following the death of George Floyd, many people have organised protests to demand racial equality across the world.

However, one protest organised by an eight-year-old, Nolan Davis in Missouri captured the attention of many as hundreds of children showed up.

According to a report by CNN, the children matched the streets chanting the phrase that has now become famous, Black Lives Matter.

“We are the children, the mighty mighty children. Here to tell you, Black lives matter!” chanted the children as they matched down in Kirkwood.

The children marched down the sidewalks in the company of their parents on Saturday, June 27.

Although their voices were not as loud, their dedication and determination that was admired by many.

Speaking before the march, Davis said he was worried about black people in the community being hurt just because they are different.

“I am worried about Black people, like me, getting hurt. Some skin is like chocolate. Some are like vanilla. Some are mixed together like mine. But we are all people,” he said.

According to the eight-year-old, being a child did not stop him from speaking his mind and he urged others to embrace the same.

“Even though I am a kid, it is important to speak my voice so people can hear me and know they can share their voice too, just like me,” added Davis.

The boy got the idea to start his own protest after he and his mother went to a couple of other ones in the area.
