List of African Countries yet to record deaths from COVID-19

Out of the 54 countries in Africa, 53 of them have recorded a total of 57,746 cases with 2,151 deaths as of May 9, 2020.

The only country without a case now is Lesotho but there are a few countries that are also yet to record deaths from their recorded cases.

As it stands now, Only nine countries are yet to confirm deaths from the coronavirus in Africa with majority of them from Eastern Africa.

Eastern Africa has six countries without deaths from the virus and appears to be the region with the lowest number of deaths so far.

All countries in North and West Africa that recorded coronavirus cases have all recorded deaths.

  1. Eritrea – 39 cases, 0 deaths, 37 recoveries
  2. Madagascar – 193 cases, 0 deaths, 103 recoveries
  3. Rwanda – 273 cases, 0 deaths, 136 recoveries
  4. Seychelles – 11 cases, 0 deaths, 8 recoveries
  5. South Sudan – 120 cases, 0 deaths, 2 recoveries
  6. Uganda – 101 cases, 0 deaths, 55 recoveries
  7. Mozambique – 82 cases, 0 deaths, 27 recoveries
  8. Namibia – 16 cases, 0 deaths, 10 recoveries
  9. Central African Republic – 143 cases, 0 deaths, 12 recoveries
