His excellency, Nana Akufo-Addo says the killing of a 90-year-old woman at Kafaba in the Savanna Region over witchcraft accusation has ruined the reputation of the country.
According to him, the awful murder has “ruined” the image of Ghana.
This made the President to call on the security agencies to hasten action on the arrest of suspects.
Furthermore, Nana Addo said a quick response of the police will lead to the rapid administration of justice for this matter.
He also stated that appropriate contribution will be made to the Akua Denteh Foundation.
The Inspector-General of Police has sent homicide experts to the Savannah region, to help find suspects.
A suspect named Sanjo allegedly hosted Hajia Filina ,who accused the deceased of witchcraft.
Other suspects who have fled the town are; priestess Hajia Filina, one Teacher Aliu, Bumaye, Ashley, Sanjo and Manafo.
The IGP has declared publicly (GhC2,000) reward for information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects.
