Ghana Atomic Energy Commission donates test equipment that can test 2300 samples within 24 hours to Ministry of Health

As part of our efforts to fight the novel Coronavirus wreaking havoc across the world all hands are needed on desk being it in kind or in cash.

Also, one activity that can assist in our fight is continuous testing especially through the enhanced surveillance system.

This increase in testing also means increase in test equipment. Fortunately, Ghana received some test equipemnt from Jack Ma foundation but it doesn’t mean it is enough to stop the virus.

In view of that, the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission has donated some test equipment to the Ministry of Health to facilitate in the Coronavirus testing.

For the current testing method, samples take days going through the testing process but these donated equipment will test the sample with 24-hour period, and even more better, it can test about 2300 samples at a go.

The ministry of Health announced this in tweet to appreaciate the donation.
