Education minister explains how schools will be opened

The minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has established that the reopening of schools will be largely depended on how the Coronavirus affect the nation in the coming months.

In an interview with TV3’s Berla Mundi on COVID-19 360 on Thursday August 13th 2020, the minister answered that “We will go to school when the virus allows us” when posed with the question of when schools will resume.

According to the minister, the decision to reopen schools will depend on the science and data available to the country especially in the coming months.

He drew our attention to the fact that, the government suffered a little disapprobation from the public when schools resumed for the final years.

Interestingly, the same individuals are calling on the government to open schools for the rest of the students.

”Had it not been the government is sound of what it was doing they would have given up. All these people saying we should open schools, those people will not be there when we open and an incident happens” he noted.
