COVID-19: Government to absorb electricity bills of Low income homes and 50% for other commercial users

President Nana Akufo-Addo in his sixth address to the nation on Thursday 9th April, 2020 has established that the government will cover the bills of low-income consumers of electricity in the country.

According to him, this is supposed to help household reduce their cost of living since most people are not working now, meaning reduced income.

The subsidization is supposed to last for 3 months, that is, April, May and June.

Already, the President in his 5th address absorbed water bills for the coming three months.
